My Mom and I, she is my biggest inspiration!

Styling and Interior design has always inspired, excited and fulfilled me. As freelance Visual Merchandiser & Store Planner for IKEA, I still travel from time to time to place like South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Europe and other diverse places around the globe to design and implement the interiors of IKEA stores. It is an amazing and really fun job. I started UP Design Lounge LLC with the intention to bring the insights I gain at IKEA and other hugely successful big players to smaller businesses here in the Pacific Northwest. I have been working with many wonderful local businesses, including boutique stores, health care practitioners, and niche businesses. APPROACH

Interior design, to me, is theater. Your retail space, office, treatment room, or shop window are the public stages where your story is told. It may be a story about the quality of your products, or the uniqueness of your art, or the care and dedication that goes into your work. There are endless possibilities to tell your story visually, and to keep it fresh, engaging, and delightful. When you tell a story in a way that resonates, it creates instant connection - with your clients, customers, patients, staff, and neighbors. And these connections are what grows and sustains your business.

When I begin a collaboration with a business owner, I see it as a coming together of her or his passion and my expertise. My process is structured, collaborative, and always tailored to your individual business and style.

Beyond making my clients’ space work at its best, I aim to create opportunities for their customers to find themselves delighted, intrigued, and understood

Even after we successfully complete the project, I am always there as the go-to resource for my clients, whether they have a quick question, want to run an idea by me, or are looking to connect with other local businesses.

And my design style? I would say it is sophisticated and leaves ample room for your unique brand and personality to shine through. I am inspired by both the strong regional character of the Pacific Northwest and my roots in Northern Europe.
